Hello, My name is Terry Thibodeau, and I'll be your blog host! My (loose) plan for this blog is to share my experiences with development methodologies, tools, techniques, and many other non-development related technologies. Over the years, my friends and colleagues have often commented on how many little obscure tidbits of technology information I seem to collect in my head (and hard-drive). I thought that I'd try to share as many of these tidbits as I could in the hopes that one of these nuggets of information might find its way into a Google search result that helps someone out.
I also just enjoy being active in the development community and conversing with fellow developers / technology-enthusiasts who are as passionate about technology as I.
A bit about me: I have been professionally developing software since 1998. I tried my hand at network administration for 2 years prior to that but realized that I needed the creative outlet that developing innovative software provides.
Many languages and technologies have found their way into my toolbox over the years, but my current focus is on development for the .NET platform, utilizing domain-driven design, BDD (behaviour-driven design, aka. TDD), design patterns, and any other techniques I can fit in my brain without stuff falling out the other side. I have recently become a member of the Calgary .NET User Group committee and plan on speaking on many topics this year in and around Calgary. I'm looking forward to meeting new people, sharing experiences, and hopefully providing fleeting moments of enlightenment.
Thanks for visiting!
